I would have slapped Judy Woodruff... |
|
if I were Carol Mosley Braun. But I'm not her and I'm not running for office. Miss Judy is one of the most insulting interviewers. She and Paula Zahn can both go to hell as far as I'm concerned.
I did loved Carol's response just now to Woodruff when Woodruff kept pressing her on the negative articles about Carol's being eccentric. Carol calmly asserted that you don't get anywhere by going along with the crowd. And that young women will never be inspired to try if they never see women running for office.
I'm a Clark supporter. But I like almost each and every one of our Dem candidates. Each time I see CMB, I am inspired by her poise under fire. Even if I still want to hand out a few well deserved slaps along the way.

I am so grateful that Carol M.B. is running for office and participating in the debates!
She does very well during the debates. She's calm, measured and actually quite masterful.

Just now when she was reporting that Bush's numbers are plunging as Clark looks like he would beat him in an election right now - I thought she was going to swallow her tongue.

5. I have stopped watching Inside Politics |
|
due to Judy Woodruff and her lack of manners. I caught this one because it was in the 3 PM hour. If there was an alternative to CNN, I'd be there. Paula Zahn I will not watch at all.

While it's nice to see the Ex-Senator in the national spotlight, now's time for her to find a new teaching position or hop into a think-tank.
Ms. Braun served poorly as a Senator...who won her seat due to a large split within the Democratic party and then, even with incumbuncy, lost re-election to a twit. Right now Ms. Braun's old Senate seat is up for grabs...she could probably still grab the Democratic nomination, but she knows that her popularity in this state is zilch.
The reasons are not just the strange living arrangement with her boyfriend/campaign manager (and the cash that flowed freely), her cozying up to the right wing military in Nigeria and offending virtually every major Democrat in the state...it was she was a poor Senator. Her greatest claim to fame was staring down Jesse Helms, but that was about it.
I wish there were other women in this race...I think Hillary scares 'em away...so Carole gets a free ride from pro-women's groups without taking a closer look at who she is.
The good thing is we have another Senator here...Dick Durbin...who I'd commit to in a heartbeat if he ever chose to run on the national scene.
