CNN / Aaron Brown's atrocious Wal-Mart segment
There's no transcript for it yet, but it was so bad I still can't believe it.

Brown led off last night's program interviewing some fool from Fortune magazine who supposedly spent some time "investigating" the controversy about Wal-Mart, but who sounded exactly the way you'd expect a Wal-Mart spokesman to sound. A ridiculously thin veneer of objectivity, qualifiers like "Wal Mart would say...", but clearly CNN was taking Wal-Mart's side in this one.

For one thing, the segment was completely devoid of information. It consisted of Aaron Brown throwing well-known criticisms of Wal-Mart to this Fortune guy, and Fortune guy giving the Wal-Mart line.

At one point, Fortune guy even said (as a matter of fact, not in the voice of Wal-Mart) that Wal-Mart's new ad campaign is intended to stick up for the workers against all the nasty attacks.

And Aaron took it all in stride...

1. Damn you WalMart workers!
Nothing I hate more than people that get taken advantage of. </sarcasm>

3. Read that Fortune article
Or at least one where the focused in on the Walton heirs. For coming from a middle class background, they are overall hands-off enough to keep the problems away from them. They are also the lowest in charitable giving at the present.

4. I haven't heard Aaron very much
But Randi Rhodes likes him. Huh? That is weird.
