to Sway Public Opinion

http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/03-22-2005/0003239295&EDATE=

OAKLAND, Calif., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The alleged illegal use of
taxpayers' dollars to fund the production and airing of video news releases to
promote Governor Schwarzenegger's political agenda is in violation of
anti-propaganda statutes.

........

Last week, the California legislature ruled that Governor Schwarzenegger's use of Video News Releases (VNRs) to sway public opinion is blatantly illegal.
On Monday afternoon, SEIU United Healthcare Workers - West, California Labor Federation, and the California Nurses Association filed a lawsuit to prevent the Governor from producing VNRs, and asks that he make public how many videos were produced, and that he repay taxpayers' the money that was illegally used to produce the VNRs.
