Corporate media....few sandwiches short of a picnic.
Blah, blah, blah. Michael Jackson. Low-carb. Paris Hilton. Killer sharks. Tom Cruise. Princess Di. Thunderstorms. Bo-Flex. Freeze-dried chicken. Viagra. Don`t any of these people know what a mess we`re in? "Right after the break we`ll talk to Brent Goodshoe, who wants to be the next American Idol." Great....Right after the break I`ll be talking to myself about George Bush who I want to be the next impeached American President.

If it wasn`t for Amy Goodman`s Democracy Now, I`d still be staring at commercials where the boy in the Hummer gets the girl with the tan, or listening to another nauseating Wolf Blitzer interview. Instead, I`m choked up, head in hands...wanting to weep. I don`t want to know about Paris Hilton. I want to know about those torture planes and the criminals who ordered them. I don`t care about how I can lose 30 pounds in 30 days (for only $49.95 plus shipping and handling), I want to know what kind of banned weapons we used on Fallujah. What`s up with us messing around in Venezuela and what kind of Hell will John Bolton put us through once he becomes Junior`s surrogate pit bull at the U.N.? So many disasters, so little time.

Guess I`ll just bypass that mess on corporate tv. For all their flag pins, they can`t really give one whit about this country. If they did, they`d be as outraged over George Bush`s war lies as they were with Janet Jackson`s exposed breast.
