AAR: Union Local buys station to keep AAR on air:New Model for AAR:others?
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 11:26 PM by oscar111
=======NEW MODEL======

for getting AAR {Air America Radio} on your local radio! WOW!

IMPORTANT!

Seems electrical workers IBEW... have decided at the purely local level in Alaska, to buy a radio station,

so they can keep AAR programs going on local radio.

Folks, this is earthshaking!

LOCALS ALL OVER, BUY STATIONS?

If the national aflcio keeps on doing nothing about helping AAR or building a clone, then LOCALS can still act, just like the great local in Alaska.

Tell your friends in union locals about this! This could be a huge boost to AAR, our only real progressive network.

ORGANIZING PLUS PRO-UNION NEW LAWS

Locals all over could buy a station and get AAR in new areas!
AAR would help so much to organize unions, plus get pro-union laws again. Unions with NO VOICE are busted unions.

4.  the UAW already tried that
It was called www.ieamericaradio.com

That's where I first heard Mike Malloy, Peter Werbe and Thom Hartmann.

It went belly-up for financial reasons.

5. Very interesting
Lets hope it works out. Obviously we can't rely on corporate media - we have to make our own.
