CNN just keeps on blowing me away...
....with how increasingly pathetic they have become. They call the "A-Team" in to work on the weekend because of the spectre of Hurricane Dennis. Wolf, Soledad, Miles, even befuddled Larry King -are all manning the posts. It becomes clear as Sunday wears on that panhandle Gulf Coast-ers and others were thankfully largely spared the extreme viciousness of Dennis' Category Four promise of only hours earlier. In other words...what the hell are the A-Team gonna do now to justify being called in on their day off?? Wait! I know!! We'll show "Citizen Journalist" pictures of the storm's aftermath from Joe and Jane Blow...we'll shoot a sequence showing Anderson (my-grey-brushcut-doesn't-move-during-torrential-rains-and-damaging-winds) Cooper and John Perella(?)yelling and screaming at each other to get out of the way of flying aluminum. Then we'll replay it fifty times an hour. And let's not forget about poor ol' Rich Sanchez - demoted from the anchor chair to the roving role of an organ-grinding monkey, recently taking shots from taser guns for the team, and yesterday tooling about in "Hurricane One". Yes, that's a much better idea than say, oh I don't know, gearing down the wall-to-wall coverage a little and not making ourselves look like giddy schoolchildren on a Snow Day.

Sheesh.

(I wonder if they'll send out someone in "Impeachment One" if the Bushies are ever brought to justice?)

And what a perfect description of CNN's "Keystone Kops" presentation of Hurricane Dennis!

2. I can't believe they're replaying that sign thing
I was embarrassed for them the first time I saw it.
Look at the trees swaying back and forth... oh no... here it comes... get back!! A SIGN!!!!

They wouldn't last 2 seconds outside if the green zone. I'd be amazed if they lasted that long inside.

God I hope the ROVE/PLAME treason story takes hold. The righties will be whining that they're not getting enough stories about sharks and missing children (the attractive white ones only please)
