Just did a "pre-emptive strike" on the local newspaper

Akron Beacon Journal - I warned them that they should check with the White House web site, current news, date 8/27/2005, before they publish any LTTEs (Voice of the People) placing the slow reaction time blame on the Governor of Louisiana or the Mayor of New Orleans.

I also included the text of the proclamation, and made sure they paid attention to the third paragraph, which states:

Specifically, FEMA is authorized to identify, mobilize, and provide at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. Debris removal and emergency protective measures, including direct Federal assistance, will be provided at 75 percent Federal funding.

I asked that I not be published. I didn't go into details, but I don't want my name printed in the paper because of the freeptards who harassed me.
