CNN hits new low
Who is this woman on CNN talking to Arianna Huffington? She was like a right wing hack with quotes like...

Are you talking about a "storm welfare system"?

Aren't you just throwning money at a problem?

Journalism: RIP

1. Here last response was "so you are talking about government support
of the victims over the long run". She seemed to redeem herself. Sometimes with CNN - I think the tough questions are so much fodder so they can get to the truth and skirt attacks from the right that will come when they actually do end up asking the right questions.

They next did a story on Blanco & her repeated requests for help -"everything you got". Included an admission caught live on satellite where Blanco said to her press secretary on Wednesday "I should have specifically asked for the military earlier" or something.

The tale still tells. Nobody should allow George W. Bush to answer his own phone. All his calls should be monitored so that "nuance" is understood. Why they even refused her first calls on Wednesday and sent her around the WH to someone in charge of Homeland security when she was going to spell it out for them. 40,000 thousand troops she asked for. Pulling the number 40,000 out of the air because she didn't know... and she wasn't getting ANY ADVICE from the WH vacuum.

3. It's time.
Time to motivate the have nots and unwanted in this country to start screaming bloody murder about the class warfare waged against them.

When I hear "welfare" being used disparagingly against my fellow Americans, I want to throw up. It is honorable to take care of our fellow Americans.

What I really want the media to address is corporate WELFARE and throwing money at corporations whose management fuck up and cover up and steal funds and then expect the taxpayers to bail them out. THAT IS STEALING. That is grand theft. That is an autrocity.

5. Only when..
..objective hosts (can't use journalists) are on. Once in a while they get a spine, but there are too many Fox lite types working there.
