1. ya know, this is a pet peeve of mine
i just seethe every time i hear a report that talks about the "mistaken call" not only did gore win, but the exit polls MORE ACCURATELY reflected the intent of the voters. it was the balloting- in palm beach, etc, that was wrong, not vns. without the butterly ballot screw ups, there wouldn't have even been a recount. :puke:

2. can we count all the votes this time and not purge the voter rolls?

and, not have mobs deployed from a Herr DeLay ...

the long-term dangers of unchecked criminal activity ... not to mention the damage to our country

wonder what 'Madame Butterfly' Theresa Le Pore is up to these days ... she wasn't always an embattled Palm Beach ballots chief. In the 1980s she moonlighted as a flight attendant on private planes owned by Saudi weapons dealer Adnan Khashoggi, a middleman in Reagan administration arms sales to Iran.

3. No, I mean he WON the recount.....if I read the reports on the consortium.
bush only kept lead if they only recounted the counties Gore asked for (by law), both courts said no, you must recount entire state. Gore said o.k. supremes said we had no time for democracy. When the entire state was counted by the consortium, Gore won. Every method, chads, pimples, dimples, etc. just by different amounts. I believe democrats.com had a really good report on this. So STOP LYING MSNBC!!!! The media are working for their corporate bosses, they no longer serve the people.

4. More outrageous
About 50 republican goons were flown in by James Baker and someone else to intimidate the recounters. Fearing for their safety they stopped recounting.

Worse, surely you guys know about the 90,000 voters who were disenfranchised through the computerized voting scam which removed more than 50% black voters? And of course you know of the Help America Vote act which is stipulating that all 50 states must have computerized voting in 2004? And that at least some of the companies installing systems to enable computerized voting have strong ties to the far right wing?
