I've listened to some of their shows occasionally, and they don't seem like their fired up enough. Every time I've tuned in I've caught some caller talking about Feng Shui or something. I want fiery commentary and debate, you know! Maybe I should give them another chance, but just from a newcomer's point of view, they're lame.

5. Mike is on board with AnShell. |
|
Provided they go on the air as scheduled (January) he'll be better than fine. Werbe is also supposed to be on board last I heard.

CAN anyone verify this? Any reason known, if valid? Their manager still had a page on the site, last week, telling how to help expand IEA.
They took out an ad just in Aug., three months ago, announcing the launch of the network, after years of development. Seems unlikely that it would suddenly fold. Anshell, morphing into a centrist animal, doesnt appear to be any reason for IEA to disappear.

Late Feb... IEAmerica is finished. They may get a buyer.. but thats highly unlikely. I heard that the management ran that place into the ground.
The shows wil find homes, somewhere.
AnShell will also not make it, as the 2 founders have backed away.

8. Don't be so sure, Sam... |

Sam,
I wouldn't be so sure about either statement you just made.
The new incarnation of Anshell, Progress Media, has a good chance, and I wish them tremendous success.
And I wouldn't write ie America Radio Network off yet, either.
I'm talking to people about that latter issue, though I cannot say anything concrete at this time.
If any of you reading this have money to invest and a serious desire to do something about Liberal Media, I would very much like to hear from you.

9. RUN INTO GROUND? DEFINE |
|
two posts up, you said "management ran it into the ground" Please tell us what that means? Overworked the hosts? Stole all cash? Let glitches pile up unfixed? What on earth does that vague phrase mean, exactly?
White Rose, pls add to your archive site , Real Audio. Millions have webtv, and so cannot download the free players your site needs.

10. RENAME ie america "THATISAMERICA" |
|
long felt that ie america is a clumsy name, with the ie being overlooked by new readers. thus, misremembered by them.
Rename needed... poss.. THATISAMERICA... also dropping the "radio network" part, to lessen the load on busy people's memory cells.
We have more to think about than some complicated, thus stupid, name for something. Millions wont even be able to tell you what ie stands for. ie is a really stupid choice. As the RW knows, "SIMPLIFY"!
Even better.... demtalk.com or libtalk.com. avoid .org, as everybody automatically thinks .com as the usual ending.
