NY Post: Gibson's "Passion"
Check out this story before it gets removed from the NY Post's web site. Mel Gibson is going to sue the newspaper for this story:

http://www.nypost.com/entertainment/10963.htm

The Post got a hold of a bootleg copy of Gibson's "Passion" and screened it for a rabbi, priest, professor, movie critic and a "regular" person.

Most of the "panel" did not like the movie.

2. Thanks--interesting read--especially that the only one who liked it
was the Post reader.

Sounds like an appalling film--I've seen photo stills and it's too bloody to be believed.

And wasn't the Post the paper that got a copy of the latest Harry Potter to review before it was released? Sneaky bastards.

4. Too bloody to be believed
I've read about how the Romans conducted their floggings - they weren't picnics in the park.

3. The NY POST did something good here.
Mel Gibson has been underhanded in trying to only screen the movie for people he thinks will like it, and his people have asked anyone else who shows up for a screening to leave.

This is a slimy tactic unlike the usual practice of screening films at film festivals for any crtic who attends. Bill O'Reilly defends Gibson regarding this, perhaps because of a conflict-of-interest in which he wants Gibson to turn a Bill O'Reilly-novel into a movie.

Now Gibson's supporters can't say that no one critical of the movie has seen it.

5. Two things...
Every story I read about this cracks me up when I get to the "A Priest, a Rabbi and a Professor..." part, because I automatically start prepping my mind for a Borcht Belt punchline.

Secondly, pious Mel (he of the demented anti-Semitic father) and Rupert's Rag...this is one SWEET catfight for people here to watch and enjoy
