Another "unbiased" quote from AP (Jackson boob) |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 08:31 PM by Democat
"Jackson's performance with Timberlake sparked a federal investigation and set new standards for raunch in an entertainment industry that seems to be setting new highs — or lows — every day." http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040203/ap_on_en_tv/super_bowl_jackson_9This is an article on the front page of Yahoo today. It's amazing what passes for "news" these days.

1. Please explain the difference to me: |
|
There was an ad that had a man in red lace panites bending over with half his rear showing. Then the ad went to another guy (I think) naked from the waiste up with pierced nipples dancing and showing off his nipples. I almost threw up on this ad. Now why is this OK, but Janet's boobs needs an investigation by the government?
Or the dog that went after the man's privates. Or all those half or more naked women. Or the old man beating up on his old wife.
I couldn't believe the people that came out and complained! Even FCC head Powell!
And I have to congratulate Ms. Jackson for out-shinging the Super Bowl and having the most watched boob in the universe.

4. Why do we have to choose? |
|
The corporate media is what let Janet Jackson expose her breast. State-owned media that promotes culture would never tolerate this filth. Look at PBS, look at FranceTV, look at CCTV. Do you see this filth on any of these networks?
The corporate media just loves to distract us from real issues by getting the populace all horny about sexually titillating trash.

3. What about the Victoria's Secret ads on tv? |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 06:05 PM by Tripper11
I see them all the time early in the evening while our kids (7 girl, 10 boy) are watching tv with us. We don't make a big deal out of it, because it isn't a big deal. Having said that, my wife and I talked about it after the kids went to bed and thought that was pretty racy for that time period. Seriously, this Jackson thing compared to half the crap on tv on a regular basis..NO BIG DEAL!
Edited to add : Richard Hatch on Survivor getting naked in the first show after the Super Bowl...what about that?
