the "ARF Retirement Summary" math = 40 points =AWOL & MEDIA SAYS?
Edited on Sat Feb-14-04 09:09 PM by papau
So Bush’s final year "ARF Retirement Summary" (pages 17 and 18 of Bush’s "2000 Personnel File") sent to Bush for approval on January 30th, 1974, three months after Bush had been placed on "inactive" status and six months after the last day he served, according to the records shows only 40 points (it is stamped April 10th, 1974, and is unamended) - 19 points for "Active" duty, 16 points for "Inactive" duty, and 5 "gratuitous" points for service.

The 15 "gratuitous" points for service claimed by the Whitehouse was in truth only 5 points, meaning Bush did not fulfill his duties, even by the lax standards set by the White House itself.

WOW

Will the talking heads on Sunday discuss.

Our unbiased media? ?

1. Nah...
The gratuitous points actually total 15, not 5...could be a typo. You get 15 points just for signing on.

5. 15 a year
You need 50 points minimum for a year to be counted towards retirement, and the more points the better, as your actual retirement pay is calculated on the basis of your total points. Each weekend drill is worth 4 points and every day on active duty (annual training in the summer) is worth one. So, if you go to AT you get 14 points, and another 15 just for drawing breath...not missing any drills gives you another 48 points. That's a REAL GOOD year for retirement purposes. Bush's pay records DEFINITELY show a make-up pattern, especially trying to get them before his late May anniversary.

6. OK seems only 50 needed - and he has his time in per this record
why I remembered 51 as the magic number I do not know.
