Cheney: deranged in his obsession with Saddam Hussein

Robert Woodward was interviewed on Australian TV last night, on a current affairs program on our independant network, SBS.

There wasn't anything very new there, at least for someone who watches DU, but I am interested in how Americans would view the interview itself.

There is constant talk about how 'free' the media is so I was wondering if anyone would give me a quick review of the transcript and compare it to similar interviews in the US? I haven't seen an interview with Woodward before, only read, so it was sortof new to me.

I guess what I'm asking is.... would US interviewers ask these sorts of questions? Was he harsh? Soft? Indifferent?

As background, I don't find the interviewer shows much bias towards either side of politics, but who knows what others may think.
