FReepers blame media for fabricating PFC Lynch story

What bothers me about this is that it was the media that blew this all out of shape. I never remember any military spokesman detailing anything about her capture or what led up to it. I do remember them saying that it appeared dhe had been shot, but none of this stuff about RAMBO scenes or fight to the death small arms exchanges

I guess if you never remember something, it didn't happen.

I think PFC Lynch has demonstrated courage in telling this like it is. Remarkably, the FReepers haven't turned on her at all.

2. Unfortunately they're pretty close to the truth

The media took BS spouted by the military and the admin and ran with it. This movie is a sham plain and simple...the events that will be depicted are fictional at best, considering that everything that originally came out was shown to be bogus. She was never shot, never stabbed, never tortured, the rescue was at least exaggerated, most likely fictional. She has amnesia (or has been told not to say a word), members of her squad have been dying.

Nothing against her, but she and her situation are being used for nothing more than propaganda.

IMHO, she was never captured, never raped, and of course never shot or stabbed, and never rescued. And remember when her dad said 'She doesn't have amnesia' until questioned about it more, then he said something like "I Can't say anything else"?

They told her, Look, we need you to do this to help the army and the US and btw, you can make alot of money, ok honey?

10. They're right--the right wing media did fabricate her story

wrote the book and now she has to go on TV to make sure her point of view is told.

what's new in this? The media is owned by conservatives who micromanage what will be disseminated over the air or through cable.
