UAW - Miller Lite advertising partnership for a Unionized Brewer
http://www.detnews.com/2004/autosinsider/0411/26/A01-16180.htm

The good people of the United Auto Workers have allowed Miller Brewing Co. to use their logo in advertisements. The hope is that sales will increase for Miller Lite, resulting in more jobs for their unionized workers, thus the partnership.

Contrast this with Coors Brewing, whose owner donates his money to several right wing causes and politicians. Company chairman Pete Coors recently ran for Senator of Colorado, as a Republican.

1. Miller Lite - Good Union beer
If I'm going to drink cheap crappy beer, Miller Lite is what I choose. It says Union Made on every bottle.

2. Good news!
We in the Labor movement are in for the fight of our professional lives and we know it. Miller Brewing has long been a friend, or at least cooperative with, labor. Coors has long been on the Union boycott list, and it really isn't very good beer anyway. If I want water, I'll simply turn on my tap and fill a glass up.

3. Miller is owned by a South African company
that may explain the decision to join the union in advertising
