How can Snow say that our huge trade deficit is a sign of a growing econ?
I can't even begin to wrap my head around the rationalizations required to believe this. Can someone explain it to me?

1. Talk about a "Bushbot"
This guy hasn't had an original thought since he's been SOT. Logic is not part of the equation.

How did he climb the ladder in private industry?

2. War is Peace, Slavery is Freedom, Ignorance is Strength
Comrade Snow understands economics better than we ever will.

And we have always been at war with Eurasia.

3. It's Bushspeak.
Up is down, left is right, SS needs fixin'....that type of thing.

There's only one rule you need to learn about Bushspeak. Whatever they say about something, the opposite is true.

5. Bushco Is Telling Our Trading Partners That US Consumption Is
"The engine of global economic growth." It's a negotiating ploy to excuse the continued devaluation of the dollar and negative real interest rates on dollar-denominated financial instruments.

8. He seems lately trying to imitate...
Greenspan, wishing his words were taken as Gold. Although Greenspan himself is a puppet of this administration, too.
It is easy to take something negative and claim it is good, b/c you can then say your opposition are not patriotic or want to call everything negative.
Pure RHETORIC!

It's all written out in Orwell.

Doublespeak and doublethink.
