1. http://www.taxfreedom.com/ ??? (IntuitWebsite)
Sounds like some right wing think tank!

Funny, but I trust the IRS to safeguard my tax info but I'm not sure if I trust Intuit, a private corporation.

3. I'd rather pay the $20 and just buy the CD...
Intuit - everytime I use Quicken, a popup tries to sell me something like their online banking...

I really wouldn't advise ANYONE doing this, because look at the information you're TRUSTING a *private* company, Intuit, with:

Your social security number and the SS # of your spouse.
Your amt of income and listing of all income sources.
How much you give to charity.
How much you pay in property taxes.
How much you spend on medical expenses.
...that's just off the top of my head!

OK, say they don't do anything with it. They probably won't.

But you will be TRUSTING them to WAREHOUSE this information SECURELY. Hope they don't get hacked! Hope they don't have some disgruntled employee willing to make a fast buck!

Banks and financial institutions are regulated by the gov't to maintain certain standards of security - if something goes wrong there, it could be JAIL for the perpetrator - what's the standard HERE?

All I'm doing is pointing out that the price you're paying here is the added risk you'd be taking to do this...
