Gold, Silver Futures Rebound From Falls
NEW YORK (AP) - Gold and silver futures strengthened Friday, rebounding from Thursday's profit-taking declines.

Recent supportive influences are still at play for the metals, especially for gold, such as worries about Iran's nuclear program, rising energy prices, and the recent softer tone in the dollar.

Higher energy prices have been stoking inflation worries, while a weakening dollar makes gold a more attractive investment option.

June gold settled up $12.40 to $635.50 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

May silver settled up 44 cents to $12.965 an ounce.

1. Thursday was scary...
The big commercial banks were going full-tilt to manipulate the price of Silver and Gold downwards. Since the London AM fix is one of the most quoted, a lot of people are going to go into this weekend thinking that metals are on the way down.

In fact, they rallied bravely today, and hopefully will continue their upwards climb.

2. Personally I'd like to see another $30 - $40 correction, so that I could
load up some more. The forces that are propelling precious metals higher are only getting stronger and I see no relief for at least three years, maybe as much as fifteen.
