from an Indian's perspective:
This is an interesting article on the reality of being an "outsourced" worker in India, and how it is playing out on THEIR side of the equation:

2. They lost me with this little gem
" After all those Americans/Europeans who have lost their jobs to Indians still have their social security, can still move around in minivans, and can still afford deluxe health treatment. No sacked Indian worker will have such privileges. "

They must be talking about the UK or western Europe. They sure as HELL aren't talking about the US.

Social security won't kick in for many years. It's getting harder to fill that minivan, even if there's a job to drove it to. Deluxe health tratment, my pasty white ass.

3. Talking point-a-palooza with this one as well:
"In every western country there has been some political backlash against the job outsourcing to India, even though, according to a report of Mckinsey, for every dollar of work outsourced to India, the US gains $1.12-$1.14."

SIIIGHH. Correction, Shelly; the US CORPORATIONS gain $1.12 to $1.14. The US WORKER gets no love or no dime and two pennies. Just the big fat toss on their ass with only hope and faith that things will get better for them. The pennies saved go to the executive bonuses and incentive packages or to make up for money lost thanks to management fuck-ups. And why not? After all, the CEOs perform SUCH hard work and make the critical decisions we wouldn't even BEGIN to understand the magnitude of.
