McCain says that we should help the consumers by abating the $.18 a gallon |
|
gasoline tax ...
gee ... you think the repealing of the tax cuts for the oil companies might actually do more for taxpayers than a brief $.18 a gallon savings (which will, of course, be erased by the latest reason why the oil companies would figure out to jack up the price)?

3. and ... don't forget ... |
|
the oil companies who had all those "Army Corps of Engineers" levees in Louisiana paid for by the government ... and yet, they didn't bother contributing one thin dime for fortifying them with all of their record profits (of which they announced two weeks after being given massive tax breaks by the Republican-owned Congress) ...

2. Like $3.17 instead of $3.35 is going to make a big difference in my life |
|
Kind of like when there was a tax cut that gave me a whole extra 44 cents a month in my paycheck.
Woohoo! When I fill my gas tank it would cost $47.55 instead of $50.25! A whole extra $10.80 a month! And still more than I can reasonably afford at 10 bucks' savings!
God, you dumb sumbitch (McCain, that is), don't you understand that it costs almost as much per month to feed the car as it does to feed my family? How about some public transportation that's worth a shit instead?

4. And the govt. would lose tax revenue which would result in raising OTHER taxes. |
|
I know the US voters have been dumbed down by our substandard educational system, but I HOPE (GOBAMA!) that they are smart enough to see right through this latest GOP hoax!
You see, McCain, it's a zero sum game. Whenever you lower one tax, you have to raise another, OR increase the deficit further, i.e., go into debt to the Chinese further (selling more govt. bonds to them). Now if we repealed the corporate welfare to Big Oil, fatcats' stock dividends & CEO's multi-million dollar annual bonuses would have to be reduced.

... by just borrowing the money.
Why should anyone pay taxes?
Answer me that.

We'll wind up paying the 18 cents in price hikes like previoulsy stated, and the budget deficit will take another hit.

15. Where does McStupid think we're going to get the money |
|
to keep the highways repaired from? The states? They're tapped out. The taxpayers? Forget it. The rich? They're anointed by fundy god and can't be tapped.
What a totally ignorant asshole that man is. Eighteen cents a gallon isn't going to make that much of a dent when gas is $3.29 at the pump. What needs to be done is raising WAGES, something no conservative ever thinks of.
