4. Phony as hell on several counts |

1. IRS doesn't contact you by email 2. Not the official IRS URL 3. even if it was valid, the IRS would know your real name.
I fill these phishing attempts with my own bogus info I usually use George Bush, etc. Mother's maiden name I put "Demonspawn" and for phone number I usually put the FBI's consumer fraud 800 number.

That somehow reminds me of an old Clint Eastwood spaghetti western where Eastwood takes the money out of the bad guy Indio's treasure box and replaces it with a wanted poster of Indio.
