Poll question: What do you think Americans will do with their "stimulus checks"? |
|
I for one, believe this is just another vehicle for funneling money into Big Oil's pockets. How convenient that these checks are coming out at the exact time when gas prices are climbing DAILY.
Tell me what you think.

3. Wouldn't it be more useful just to ask DUers what THEY are going to do with their checks? |
|
I can answer what *I* plan to do, but I don't see the point of trying to guess what everyone else is going to do.

13. I understand; I like to analyze data, too. |
|
I like to think of this as hypothesizing, then when actual data is available, compare them. You know, the "scientific method" model.

Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 10:26 PM by Journalgrrl
I'm going to invest in a DIY solar generator, and perhaps get my root cellar and garden off to a good start... survival baby, that's the name of MY game!
ETA: and if I have some left over, I'll procure some 'herbal medicine' to make me feel better about the impending chaos :smoke:

She said to me earlier today "Bush wants us to spend this money to stimulate the economy. He didn't actually specify which economy he was talking about."

19. Other --- pay bills not necessarily mortgages |
|
At least that is what I plan to do with mine. Hoping/planning that it will cover the credit card bills so I can get that put behind us. Will be debt free then except for the mortgage. And at least more of my monthly income can go to "purchasing locally" and/or adding to my family's self sufficiency.
I would LOVE it if I could just stick it in a savings account or donate it to a good cause, but unfortunately it is not possible here.
I agree it is just another tool to funnel money into Big Oil's pockets.
