Would you be willing to pay a lot for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage... |

if you knew that the horse ate expensive meals from a vegetarian restaurant?
Would you be unwilling to pay much for high-quality clothing if you knew that the people who made the clothing ate very plain and inexpensive foods?

2. Horses eat vegetarian diets, oats and 3rd world workers eat very plain |
|
...inexpensive foods now and always have. So what's your point? I guess American consumers have been sold on a lot of marketing bullshit, right

Did the restaurant use trans-fats?
Does the horse support the Defense of Carriage Act?
And I don't really care what the people who make my clothes eat as long as they don't get any on my clothes.

6. There is no easy path to understand the Boojatta |

His post are masked in a fog of allegory and mystery. His threads are like reading a novel, but only the odd numbered pages. One might discern a plot, but is it worth the effort?
You think this one is out there, try take a look at the Religion Forum :-)

many times. Yet he remains obscure. That is the way of the Boojatta, and none of us have the time or inclination to divine him.

1. would you pay a well-off merchant high prices for a luxury product if you knew that the laborer was very well cared for?
2. would you pay a well-off merchant high prices for a luxury product if you knew that the laborer was being starved?
Does it matter to you, when choosing a product, how the laborer that produced it is treated? Are you willing to buy fancy designer label clothes knowing that they were sewn by child laborers sold into servitude by their desperate parents? Or does that knowledge dissuade you from buying fancy designer labels?

11. By "laborer", do you mean "horse"? |
|
The first question is about a horse-drawn carriage.
The second question is about laborers who are getting enough to eat, but who are eating very plain and inexpensive food.

13. well when a horse is pulling a carriage |
|
who do you think is supplying the labor? The driver? Not really. Just sitting on his or her ass holding the reins. Yes, the horse is the laborer in that particular scenario. And yes, if I had the money, I would pay a lot to ride in a carriage drawn by a well-compensated horse. Although frankly, my horses prefer dining out in a lush pasture to eating in any restaurants, vegetarian or otherwise.
I'm glad your laborer's in the 2nd scenario are fed enough plain food.
