Sarah Palin Pick Blamed For Clobbering Stock Market
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 04:12 PM by IamyourTVandIownyou
Corey Lorinsky | Sep 4, 08 6:15 AM

"It says here that the markets concluded last week that whatever John McCain’s true economic views, on Friday he handed the election to the anti-growth candidate with his selection of Palin.

Stocks were presumably booing a running-mate choice that will greatly aid Barack Obama’s election in November."

2. Ugh. The same "pro-growth Republicans" bullshit.
Republicans controlled the economic agenda for the past 8 years. Where's the growth?

3. yeah i'm sure it had nothing to do with the retail or unemployment numbers.
the market always moves more than 3% whenever a scheduled event, such as a speech, goes exactly as expected.

6. This anti-growth meme is something that needs to be knocked down.

I had not heard this from the repubs end, but just googled it. 12,600 hits.

I do like the last sentence of that article though.

"More importantly, the stock market has historically done better under Democratic presidents, so if McCain really has handed the election to Obama, we all have something to look forward to."
