5. From the Stock Market Thread in LBN - |
|
AT THE CLOSING BELL WHEN BUSH TOOK OFFICE on January 22, 2001 Dow - 10,578.24 Nasdaq - 2,757.91 S&P 500 - 1,342.90
DOW today:
10917.51 (Nearly the same, no progress)
NASDAQ:
2179.91 (LOWER than when Bewsh took office)
S & P:
1193.53 (LOWER than when Bewsh took office)
Failure. Fuhrer. The death of the brand of Reaganomics championed by Bewsh is long overdue.
Unfortunately, America's in the shittah.

6. Two more days of this kind of panic and the Dow will be below the lowest |
|
...level when Shrub allowed the 2001 recession to go on September 10, 2001 when it hit 9605.51. Then it closed for six days and when it reopened on Setember 17, 2001 it plunged 684.71 points in that one trading day. We may see that single day recorde passed this week

10. That data on the 10 year bond is good news for people who own it |
|
They made about 6.5% today (bond prices move opposite from interest rates). That wasn't me.
