BANK PRODUCTS AS DANGEROUS AS CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL TO HEALTH |
|
Think about this, and how consumer legislation needs to be changed in relation to banks and their products. Remember too that the definition of "bank" has been greatly relaxed across a span of time to include almost any type of lender of money. As they grow they all seem to become "banks". The respected name "bank" has lost some of its traditional meaning and that is another warning indicator. Similarly their products have become as diverse as those warranting the attention of the Federal ATF enforcement department.
We put warning labels on cigarettes. We ban lifestyle cigarette and alcohol advertisements. We forbid promotion of recreational drugs and other types of personal and social risk activities in the public media.
Why then do we allow financial institutions to hook and crook, advertise by any means, in any way they choose as if it is a supreme social good and necessity ?
Surely warning labels, and full disclosure of dangers, inclusive of the fact that the Surgeon General deems that Banking products of today, their lending practices, the fine print in their weasel worded legal agreements, could be dangerous to human health. In fact they are dangerous to health. Increasingly dangerous to health and could be epidemiologically tied to a vast range of dangerous, even fatal, illnesses afflicting mankind. It might seem funny to consider that but believe me it is not. Everything from heart attacks, high blood pressure, strokes, to chronic fatigue, mental illnesses such as chronic depression, suicides, and acts of violence coming from those who snap due being unprepared and unable to deal with the pressures involved.
Clearly some sort of warning label needs to go on the banks and their products.
Banks and their products are potentially more dangerous than cigarettes, drugs or alcohol and can cause more premature deaths.

1. Not to mention that little 'conflict of interest' issue and anti-trust laws. |
