Thursday, 1/22, in Richfield Ohio, Sherrod Brown is going to be hosting a public gathering to discuss the closing of the Brecksville branch of the Cleveland VA Medical Center.
I was wondering what would be good questions which should be asked.
Nothing to attack Sherrod, but more stated in a way which would (surreptitiously) make Bush appear in a bad light.
Remember, Richfield kissed Bush's ass and had him speak there. BUT, 400+ non-Bush fans showed up to nonviolently protest, while about 10-20 W supporters showed up outside the lovefest.
On edit: Sorry, didn't make it clearer.
The main med services are done at the Wade Park facilities.
The Brecksville VA, aside from being the central hub of the computer services, is more set up for the mental health facilities.
Other outpatient, less urgent stuff, goes on at CIBOCs (or something they pronounce sybok), which are satellite branches, including Youngstown, Canton, and numerous small offices.
The outlook is that, in the next 5 or so years, the Brecksville "campus" will be closed down. In my opinion, it will be sold off to a developer, since real estate prices in Brecksville are EXPENSIVE.
