Economic Optimism Slips Further: Gallup
This is certainly in line with deterioration in recent Consumer Confidence/Sentiment Surveys, as well as a significant skid in Small Business Optimism:

PRINCETON, NJ -- The percentage of Americans believing the economy is getting better stands at 44% today, down from 53% in mid-February, and lower still than the 66% recorded in early January. Americans' ratings of current economic conditions did not change between February and March, but are slightly lower than they were in mid-January.
