It seems to me that many posters on du have an aversion to examining their own "status-quo". Don't get up in arms just yet, as I count myself among the aformentioned. I've advocated some Libertarian positions lately, and henceforth and predictably the peanut gallery firing squad opened up! If you disagree with this shared article, no problem. It makes a lot of sense to me, inasmuch as I don't feel knee jerk and concurrent govt. intervention predicates true fixes of the economy. I also feel a true price needs to be paid, however painful for a true fiscal policy solution to be realized. In other words, Invention of repetetive govt. programs to stave off the inevitable, only perpetuates problems that need to be dealt with in the here and now. I realize many du'ers mentality is that of, good govt./pro people against bad corporations/anti-people, but unfortunately the world just does not break down into that ever so convenient reality. Also, since it was put forth by another poster, who my comments obviously irritated immensely: My screen name is not meant to make anybody think I'm a lawyer, smart, or any combination of the former. Marines will get it. It is a play on words(Sea Lawyer). The Army version is Barracks Lawyer. Here is what I think to be a good article explaining the limitations of Keynesian economic policy.
