the Dow drops 100+ points?

Nobody seems to mention that, when Obama took office, the Dow was at 8281.22, and the NASDAQ was at 1529.33 ...

as I recall, the mantra in Nov/Dec 2000 was that Gore needed to shut up and concede defeat because he was killing the stock market ... Gore says "Count the votes!", Dow plummets ... Bush wins a court victory, Dow soars (well, relatively speaking ... remember, Repug math).

So, you have the Dow and NASDAQ closing DOWN today ... Dow at 10603.15, NASDAQ at 2291.25 ... that's a RISE under "economy killer" Obama of, I believe, approximately 28 percent and 50 percent respectively ...

in one year ...

1. Ahem

#1 - Today's market performance was due to dismal bank earnings, and had little to nothing to do with the election.

#2 - If you hadn't noticed by now, what's good for Wall St. is often quite bad for the rest of us. The metrics you want to use to gauge the health of the economy are employment, wages, inflation, and the value of the currency.

3. I am well aware of #2 ... but I also was aware of how the "liberal media"

was pointing out that the Dow was dropping because of Obama taking charge ... also, the Repugs were trying to blame the November 2007 decline start on Obama running for President ...

Plus, you have plenty of Repugs who sit there and say "Global Warming is fake because it snowed in the northern part of America ... in January!"
