Goldman update: Connecticut AG wants to file criminal charges (maybe NY, too)
Okay, so let's hope that this is really the start of criminal prosecutions, but I remain cynical.

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal on http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/36604057#36604057">Dylan Ratigan (video)

Also, Germany wants to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20100417/eu-germany-us-goldman-sachs">sue.

Much more from http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2010/04/goldman-sacked.html">Washington's Blog

I think the only real fallout may be consumer revolt against Goldman, but with so much governmental capture even that might not harm them in the end.

1. Good, go after those vipers, all of them, even the ones in the adminstration
I don't want the thieves punished as much as I want them poor.

I want them to experience what most of us did while they were getting rich by ripping off the whole world.

Prison doesn't last long. Poverty would be worse.

3. Good!
Bankrupt these banksters with litigation and watch their market value plummet with each new filing. A civil suit took a chunk out of their hide on Friday. I would like to see what a criminal complaint against these fuckers would look like.

7. Failure to disclose the "Wells Notice"
if they had it in hand for more than 30 days may carry more weight.

Insider trading should be an easier case to make. A conviction also can put a major cramp on market access.

8. This opens the door to AIG and others suing for damages.
Could be one way for AIG to pay back TARP.
