The Re-secure America’s Monetary Policy (RAMP) Act
http://kucinich.us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=28848

With Washington in a struggle over the contours of financial reform, Congressman Kucinich (D-OH) is bringing forward a dramatic new proposal for monetary policy reform.

New technologies and payment systems have changed the way we do business. While banks have innovated, the Government has stood still. The recent financial crisis has highlighted that we should never have allowed the banks to take over monetary policy. Real businesses are now being starved of the money they need to grow our economy. Congressman Dennis Kucinich will tomorrow announce legislation designed to Re-secure America’s Monetary Policy for the economic interests of the American people and give this basic function back to the government.
