Take the quiz. My score makes me a eco-ally. I can do better and I will, but so far I am doing very good. This is also a great guide to show you what you can do to walk more lightly upon this planet.

If they knew about my three H2s and my baby seal biodiesel refinery, I probably wouldn't have scored so well.

2. I like that survey that measures in terms of earth-equivalents.

Cuz, regardless of how I might wear out my rotator cuff patting myself on the back for using some canvas grocery bags and walking to the store every so often, my lifestyle is still 5.1 earth-equivalents.

some of the questions are goofy though - like "go canoeing instead of jetskiing"

well, I would NEVER jetski, and I HAVE canoed - but i didn't answer "yes" because I don't "go canoeing" now

also, some of the workplace items and driving items are out of ones control - I don't use public transit for my commute because there is none

a lot of things to save money as well as save the environment. So, I guess the lesson is that being eco-friendly is a smart money saver! :-)

7. Eco-Ally

My score is lower that it should be because their survey doesn't take into consideration people who moved to an apartment so they wouldn't be wasting space and energy in a house.

But there are plenty of things I can still do to improve in other places. I just wish more businesses would spend the money on doing things right. I've been places that were so wasteful, and the dumbass managers don't want to hear about ways to save the company money by wasting less.

C'est la vie.
