Springfield, Massachusetts area fuel dealer offers biodiesel
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- A Springfield area chain of filling stations is trying to go green by offering biodiesel fuel.

The blend now being offered by Pride Stations and Stores contains five percent vegetable oils. The mix can fuel diesel-powered vehicles. The biodiesel is available at all of Pride's 20 stations from Agawam to West Springfield.

Pride President Robert Bolduc says he decided to start putting biodiesel fuel in his company's diesel pumps when his supplier, Global Petroleum, began offering the blend.

In 2005, Pride was the first chain in Massachusetts to sell a ten percent ethanol-90 percent gasoline blend.

They gave a lot to the community. This is cool. Good on 'em.
