Here's an interesting and compelling discussion about global warming
This is a 9 1/2 minute video presentation that walks logically through all options and consequences of what we do or don't do about global warming. Watch this very simple and intuitive presentation and pass it on to someone else.

X-posting from GD. This is good information and much to the dismay and denial of RW'ers, it makes way too much sense.

2. I like it. I have boiled it down to even simpler terms.
You're blindfolded and walking. Someone tells you there is a cliff right ahead. Do you keep walking?

I want to add something else. Let's look at this in a totally different way. Let's stop looking at what we can DO. One of the most important things that will cure the problem is by not doing things. What we don't do may be far more important than what we do. Not driving. Not havi

6. My keyboard died. And I went to bed.
It was just a list of things we should start not doing. And nobody is going to not do them. In fact, I'm also to blame. But I'm not as flagrant as most. The one thing that I know is most important is to stop having families until the population is decreased. Most of the people I grew up with don't have children. It's a natural phenomenon that people see the mess and are uncomfortable with it and curb their breeding. It's a simple solution. But having too many people who also are consuming and polluting is a complex problem. I've never been able to understand why people want kids. So that makes it easy for me to talk about. I suppose if I really wanted kids, it might be difficult. Hey, I stopped smoking because I knew it could kill me. That was very difficult. And I miss it to this day. Now back to my Doctor Who...

3. only half the story
Interesting arguement, but flawed. You forgot another row of possibilities. Global Climate Change is real, but not man-made, and so we take action A and end up with a combination of your two worst case scenarios. Now we've destroyed our economy, and thus don't have the funds or resources to deal with the other consequences.

4. That other "row of possibilities" has already been eliminated by the evidence.
I think I'll call you "Mr. Conservative."

7. You mean BUSH destroyed the economy, right. WE didn't do it.
BTW, what part about endless increases in CO2 levels don't you people get? The garage door is shut - actually, there IS no garage door - and we've got the car on high idle.

When you have a moment, pay attention to the weather reports and the crop reports and then tell us we don't need to worry or take action.

8. Of course, there's no evidence that global warming AT THE CURRENT RATE is natural
But who lets little things like evidence spoil a perfectly good screed?
