Journal entry March 14, 2018...
My crop of winter veggies was okay. We have enough to last us. Not enough cold, too much rain.

Steve, whom I thought would last, finally moved north. A great loss to the community.

News snip - "The city board recommended that street repairs will have to be curtailed due to the high price of asphalt"

Not surprised. Only a very few folks drive anymore. Emergency vehicles only respond now for fires.

The block finally finished raising those two houses last week. We all got some good materials we can all use.

Dave Ownes, a block away, got himself a couple of mules and we all worked out a deal for him to plow those fields for us, next week. That will work out right nice.

The military has an ops center now at the high school. Good/bad thing. Nice to have the "protection" per say since the war on the border is pretty much all out now.

Refugee's both Mexican and American have been passing through town regularly now.

Mr. Ross now has another healthy colt. We were all happy about that.

I'm wondering what to do with my old car. Connie told me to hold onto it for an emergency. I'll bring it up at the next meeting.

Mrs. White's meds ran out finally last week. We all have been doing our best to try and find her some more, but they are either way to expensive or just don't exist anywhere nearby. She's such a nice lady, it's hard to watch her deteriorate before my eyes.

Last I heard about a month ago, Tehran is a dead city. Breaks my heart. :(

More riots in L.A. and San Diego, along with El Paso and are all still under curfew. Phoenix has declared "partial" marchall law.

I'm a bit nervous. Our rain barrels are full, we are ready for the spring. Just have a weird feeling. Can't tell Connie, don't want her to worry more than normal.

Well, that's it for now. Times up.
