The triangle between Svalbard, the Tamyr Peninsula, and the pole is looking a little more solid today, but the area to the east of the Tamyr Peninsula is still in full disintigration mode. In this photo (September 8) you can see massive icebergs from the collapse of one of the weaker areas east of the peninsula. The front between the Tamyr Peninsula and Canada (going east) is still a mess, but the melting in that area has visibly slowed.
