Anybody tracking NYMEX today?
Oil - $82.28
Gold - $732.50
Silver - $13.13 (up .20)

Good thing there's no inflation, huh?

1. Gold bugs are out in force, I see
Some libertarian must've been pushing the stuff so he can sell his own stash at an obscene profit, pick it back up when the price crashes.

Last month it was holding steady at $665/oz.

7. Notice the peaks and valleys in the last couple of years?
Fast run up = fast bust.

Yes, the general trend is up because the inflation the gummint says we aint got is going up like crazy, as anybody who's been shopping for a can of soup or gallon of milk knows all too well.

However, buying at a peak like this one generally isn't too bright.

6. Gold futures roared up after the rate cut, dollar sank to new lows against the euro
Wonder when China mart begins raising all of those "low low prices" ? Probably tonight. But of course "core inflation" will remain "under control"

Frankly if the fed cared at all about the US economy it would have raised rates to kill off inflation. Now we will see stagflation, and the eventual cure will be many times worse.
