40 percent of US voters will choose President on global warming plank

Washington, Oct 2: Nearly half of the Americans, who now believe that global warming is a threat, have said in a recent poll, that their voting in the next year's Presidential poll would be influenced according to the stand taken by the candidates on this issue.

A growing number of respondents, nearly 40 percent, said that urgent drastic action must be taken, and that a presidential candidate's position on global warming will be either extremely important (16 percent of respondents) or very important (24 percent of respondents) when casting their ballots in the next year's presidential polls.

"These results indicate a sea change in public opinion," quipped Anthony Leiserowitz, Director of the Yale Project on Climate Change, who is also the study's principal investigator.

In 2004, merely 20 percent of Americans had such a strong opinion on the issue of climate change.

of National Leaders...but we don't.

We have the Fake Reality Show, but that is all we have.

Even IF it is not as rigged as a 50s quiz show, and is only partially suppressed and rigged, that is enough combined with the power of pyschology/advertising/framing/PR to create something that rigged while appearing to be slightly less so. Especially in the event of a lack of true opposition.

Yeah, something like that would have been nice back in the Old American Republic, where voters could actually sometimes make change through voting.
