We plan on buying one for our property to live in while building our 'green' home.
Anyone out there with Yurt experience?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=115&topic_id=117609&mesg_id=117609http://www.concretecanvas.co.uk/index.htmlit sure looks like a good way to build oneself a temperary semi permanent structure that could with some up front thinking be around for years to store whatever etc. in after its initial temp housing. I sent for more info and asked to be put on their email list if and when they have one. As an ole concrete finisher I can definitely see the advantages to this material.

But if you were to google "Mother Earth News+yurt" (as I did) you will find multiple listings including a 3-CD set of yurt information....

The yurt is still standing at least 10 years later, they are now using it for storage. Oh, she lives in central New York, just south of Rochester, so they had a lot of snow and wind.

6. Yurts originally came from Central Asia, where they get nasty winters |
