LCV President Deb Callahan addressed the Convention, an unprecedented honor for the leader of a major environmental group. Deb told the delegates that John Kerry's 35-year record, from helping to organize the first Earth Day in 1970 to earning the best environmental voting record (92 percent lifetime LCV score) of any nominee for president in modern history, is proof of his commitment to our environment. Outlining the environmental challenges facing the country, Deb assured the nation that John Kerry's values and vision will lead to dramatic progress on a range of critical environmental issues.
