It's GARDEN TIME....I'm starting to grow WORMS |
|
LOL...REDWORMS in my garage. Buckets and buckets of the best nitrogen makers...they love our organic garbage..yum, yum!
Don't use industrial animal farm waste. The animals are being fed GMO seed and hormones. The chickens have an arsenic problem. These animals are too toxic.

There used to be a guy who sold night crawlers on the way up the Mckenzie river, in Oregon. He would just leave a cooler out and a jar to put your money in...trusting soul.
I bought hundreds from him, and never met him.

picks them early sets them on a table in the shade along with some scales and a money jar, says he's, to the best he can tell, has never been ripped off.
I did plant my garden yesterday though. 14 tomato plants were in the mix too

4. It seems we should be growing |
|
corn, rice and wheat. Maybe beans would be good to grow now that panic seems to be gripping everyone.

5. me too, I've got hundreds of them in my compost heap |
|
I love my worms and they hasten the breakdown of all our good, healthy garbage in our compost heap. Originally, I was digging around under our big bird feeder where all the seeds not eaten had fallen, voila - hundreds of worms right there so I put them in with the compost last October. Amazing how little time it takes for them to multiply.
I put a couple of shovels full of compost from the big heap in a new compost heap I started a few weeks ago and they are multiplying like crazy, nice big, fat red worms! Plus, our kitchen waste doesn't go to landfills which is a good thing.
I can hardly wait to put all that organic compost on my greens garden which has been growing nicely in spite of the cold weather here.
Grow greens folks! Lettuce mixes, Swiss Chard, Spinach, Chinese cabbage, all very easy to grow and so full of good vitamins too. :bounce:
