Fix or ditch the global warming bill!

The Senate is currently considering global warming legislation (the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act) that contains huge polluter giveaways and doesn't achieve the emissions reductions that scientists say we need. What's worse is that the bill is likely to be weakened even more in coming days as compromises are made to try to get the bill to passage.

Tell your senators to fix or ditch this bill, and come back next year under a new president to pass effective global warming legislation.

1. This kind of trumped "Boy aren't we good!" kind of

Legislation always makes me ill.

And it no doubt contains provisions for those of us who can't afford a new Prius (or two!) to assume massive taxes on any gasoline that we use.

I want to see a stream lined bill that simply goes after the obscene profits that the oil industry is taking from the working person and have the legislation FORCE Big Oil to put a large portion of that profit into the real renewables, especially solar.
