23 tigers die, plus 30 more sick tigers at "private" zoo in Thailand
Excuse my abject ignorance, but how many zoos have 53 tigers, and why?

Any theories? I'm guessing canned hunts or asian "medicine". Am I being culturally insensitive or too cynical? Does anybody here know anything more about this?

2. This is really sick, and yes, you're probably right about the "medicine"
The canned hunts seem to be concentrated in Texas.
