Recycling political yard signs.
I have half a dozen or so of those plastic corrugated yard signs.
My candidates lost and probably won't run again.
At least not for the same offices.
I hated to just put them in the garbage can.
So there they've sat for several months.

Now I've figured out a use for them.
Cut to size they'll make great rigid bottoms for our cloth grocery bags.
Now they'll sit flat on the floor of the trunk and will be less likely to spill.

Any other ideas about what to do with signs?

1. Use them, again
If you have any left over wall paint paint over the sign then with red or blue acylic paint a new message. I reused my signs over and over.

4. Yes, that's exactly what the campaign I managed this year did
We spent pocket change on paints, markers, stickers, and glue.

We lost, but while we spent essentially nothing, our opponents who are going on to a runoff in November have already spent over $300,000. And they're not recycling their signs.

2. Any school with an art or theatre department
would probably welcome donations. This is material that can be easily trimmed, cut, reshaped for myriad purposes.

3. Lots of uses for teachers...
We make model solar houses, instead of cardboard or foam core, that plastic sign material is great and lasts much longer!

It's worth considering for use in crafts like that.
