Mexico plants trees to protest border fence
PIEDRAS NEGRAS, Mexico -- The first of 400,000 trees are being planted to form a "green wall" in protest of the fence the U. S. is building along the border with Mexico.

The treeline will eventually stretch for 512 kilometres along the border between the Mexican state of Coahuila and Texas.

Coahuila Gov. Humberto Moreira Valdes says "our wall is of life, and it competes with shame and hate" ...

1. I wonder if they did a two year environmental impact study
before building that fence like they did to the the Solar energy group.

2. They're hiring people to go down and do surveys
I'm sure there's no regard for blooming periods or any of that nonsense, just go down there and walk the proposed line. :(

4. DHS waived like 30 laws along the Texas border
Endangered Species Act, all environmental laws and much more. There are no landowner rights. The land is being seized. Court hearings are in a kangaroo court where the outcome is predetermined and the judge is hostile to the plaintiffs. Landowners have absolutely no meaningful input whatsoever. The entire thing is a sham, a travesty, completely illegal and unconstitutional.

5. This has been debunked by
an article in the July-August Audubon Magazine. The article pointed out the danger of walling off migratory routs to animal life, including birds.

They have not walked the route, nor has the impact study any connection with reality, according the the article.

The article doesn't appear to be on line yet.

7. Plant the trees close enough to the fence...
...and you won't need a ladder.

9. How will this be counter-acted? Hire immigrants to destroy
the trees? I hear RoundUp can safely kill every thing it comes in contact with. The DHS usurps all property unless you're an 'elite'.
