Memo To Our Green-Minded Friends in Europe

To our enviornmentalist-minded friends in Europe: As a result of the 2004 election and the further consolidation of power by the Republican Party, you all are going to have to save the world without us. While there may by a tiny trickle of financial and logistical support for enviornmental projects and renewable-energy programs from private sources in the United States, there will be no economic assistance or regulatory cooperation from the United States government or the majority of its states. In effect, if you want to save the planet, it looks like you'll have to do what you can without us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we hope and pray for your success as we dwell in political exile.
