Selectmen have begun discussions with the Brockton-based Green Peak Energy to build multiple solar panel farms by the end of the year.
While a proposed new power plant looms on the horizon for Brockton, West Bridgewater is seeking a greener way of producing energy.
Selectmen have begun discussions with the Brockton-based Green Peak Energy to build multiple solar panel farms in West Bridgewater by the end of the year.

“The town of West Bridgewater wants to be at the forefront for welcoming renewable energy sources for both public and private uses,” said Selectman Matthew Albanese.

Green Peak Energy will run the solar farms.

Green Peak owner Carl Landerhorn said he has plans to build a learning and manufacturing center on one of the properties so that local schools can visit and learn the benefit of green energy.

1. You know in Iowa farmers grow crops around the towers - urban towers
should have community gardens. Two birds with one stone.
