More golf carts leaving greens |
|
As gas prices climb, more cities across the USA, including communities in Virginia, Minnesota and Colorado, are allowing electric golf carts on public streets. http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2008-07-20-golf-carts_N.htm

even though it wouldn't be for me cause of where and the road we have to travel on would not be conducive to comfortable motoring.

3. There ARE electric vehicles that are basically a glorified golf cart that |
|
are safer on the streets; combine that with a solar carport to recharge your vehicle for free, and we're on our way.

4. I've watched for more than 35 years the insanity of cars sitting at our train stations . . . |
|
who did that benefit except oil companies, garages and auto manufacturers . .
It's capitalistic insanity --- and not having challenged this BS at that time --
we're sharing their suidical outcome --- !!!
I'd also add that at least my town is paying a heavy price for this stupidity now in
regard to traffic, air quality, parking problems and costs.

5. We all are paying a heavy price |
|
evryone should have to see who killed the electric car as a primer into how not to do things. Gm's buying up the rails then letting them fall into ruin is not good for the country.

6. For some reason, this reminds me of Sun City, Arizona. |
|
When I was a kid, we'd go visit and stay with our grandparents there. It's a golf community, so there were a LOT of golf carts, enough so that there was a shop that would repair and many times hot rod the golf carts so they went blazingly fast. It became almost a competition in the community to see who had the fastest golf cart.
It created a really strange traffic world. You'd drive through the city and the giant Cadillacs would be doing 35mph, while the hot rod golf carts were doing 50-60.
The point here is that, if they could do it in the 1970's, they can certainly do it today.

8. Miz t. and I have talked about this. |

Selling one car and getting an electric golf cart for running around the neighborhood. Unfortunately we couldn't use it for shopping, running errands. Distance from town too great and roads not cart friendly.
